SYNOPSIS: As a teen, Cha Kang Jin was forced to watch his mother being ill treated and walked on by men as he stood by unable to defend her. When his family moves back to his mother’s home town, he meets Han Ji Wan. Han Ji Wan is the daughter of an Asian medicine doctor who has her own difficulties to deal with. With an older brother slated as the town genius, Ji Wan is continually reminded of her inferiority to him. When Ji Wan’s brother dies trying to help her find Kang Jin’s pendant and necklace he lost, she runs away from home and never returns. Eight years later, Kang Jin finds himself attending Ji Wan’s engagement to his co-worker Park Tae Joon but he’s soon heartbroken when Ji Wan at first pretends to not know him.
